Green Veg Rolls

Elevate your summer greens with these light lunch bites! Our Green Veg Rolls are the perfect combination of crisp puff pastry, gorgeous British asparagus, tenderstem broccoli, sugar snaps and tangy spring onions all mixed with a generous helping of our sweet Caramelised Onion Chutney.

  • 400g green vegetables

    1 pack of puff pastry

    2 egg yolks

    20g sesame seeds

    20g poppy seeds

    1 jar of Baxters Caramelised Onion Chutney

Preheat the oven to 170°C.

Blanch the green veg in boiling water for 1 minute the plunge into cold water to stop the cooking process.

Dry on kitchen paper.

Lay the pastry out flat and cut in half lengthways.

Spread with the chutney leaving 2cm down each side uncovered to seal.

Top with half of the green vegetables.

Brush the exposed pastry with egg yolk and the fold over to form a “sausage roll” shape.

Press the joined edges with a fork to seal.

Repeat with the rest of the ingredients.

Brush the tops with egg and sprinkle with the seeds.

Bake in the oven for 15 minutes or until nicely risen and golden brown.

Tip

We love a mix of asparagus, broccoli and sugar snaps, but you can use any left over green veg for these summer rolls
