Perfect for those seeking a nutritious and healthy addition to their meal planning without compromising on taste, Baxters has unveiled newly refreshed recipes for five of its bestselling soups. Offering perfectly balanced flavours and convenience, each warming bowl is the helping hand to enjoy the taste of homemade without the effort.

Bringing Baxters tinned soup into a different taste league, the nation’s favourite soup, Cream of Tomato leads the line-up with a creamier, refined flavour and even richer taste due to the addition of more tomatoes and Scottish cream stirred into the classic recipe. This flavour enhancement continues throughout the Favourites range with Cream of Chicken and Minestrone also reworked to ensure the ingredients, including chicken and penne pasta, come through with every tasty spoonful just like it would with a bowl of homemade soup.

Quality remains at the heart of the newly refreshed recipes as Baxters continues to draw inspiration from its base in Fochabars, Scotland. Using locally sourced produce, such as cream, carrots and potatoes straight from the abundant larder on Baxters’ doorstep, the vegetarian soups of Carrot and Coriander andCountry Garden complete the line-up, bursting with ingredients from North East Scotland.

The updated recipes launch as Baxters focuses on the principle of what a comforting bowl of soup means to its customers, retaining its famous bite and continuing to use natural ingredients which come through in every mouthful. With each soup capturing the essence of homemade and no formulas, Baxters continues to cook by batch and taste test every 30 minutes to ensure the ultimate quality. As with all Baxters products, each recipe is continuously tested and approved by fourth generation family and CEO Audrey Baxter to ensure consumers are always guaranteed the best taste and excellence they have come to expect from the brand.

As always, each recipe has been crafted by Baxters Development Chef Darren Sivewright and provides consumers with a tasty and filling winter warmer.

Darren Sivewright, Development Chef at Baxters Food Group, said: “When it comes to taste and flavour, we never settle until we have the best across all our recipes, even our much-loved favourites. Following the success of our classic flavours over the years, I’ve enjoyed the task of enhancing each recipe to bring the flavour of our tinned soup into an elevated league.

“A key factor to achieving this higher quality with retained bite within every mouthful is down to how we make our soup. Similar to cooking up a pot of soup in the comfort of your own kitchen, we make ours in small batches and taste test every half an hour to ensure we are always serving up a bowl of soup as close to homemade as possible.”

The new recipe soups are available now from supermarkets nationwide starting from £1.60. For further information please visit baxters.com.
