Main Accountabilities
- Ensure all orders are entered/received onto the management system accurately and on time and in accordance with Customer Service.
- Administer and maintain the customer master file to reflect internal/external customer needs.
- Monitor/track order progress and provide status updates to interested parties (eg Customer Service Manager, Demand Chain Planners/ Supply Chain Manager).
- Identify and escalate potential customer service issues as soon as possible to avoid customer service failure.
- Administer the replenishment process to ensure goods are supplied in time to meet Customer Service stock replenishment.
- Enter and log customer complaints and monitor/track progress of said comments.
- Responsible for the activities associated with the transportation of product to customers into the Palletways network.
- Pre-shipment and Post-shipment administration:
- Booking delivery slots with customers.
- Work with transport providers to ensure costs are obtained and monitored.
- Administration duties
- Allocating and calculating external warehouse transactions.
- Provide cover for bulk scheduling including planning routes. Ensuring the most efficient way for customers and stakeholders is optimised.
- Provide cover for production planning including production scheduling and inventory management.
Person Specification
- Very good interpersonal and communication skills between all levels of staff within the business and to be able to work across functions and departments.
- Computer literate – knowledge of MS Office (word & excel) and Oracle.
- High levels of numeracy and accuracy.
- Able to prioritise and plan own workload.
- Ability to identify and escalate problems and to assist in a resolution.
- Knowledge of pallet systems.
- An ability to work on their own initiative and a flexible approach towards working hours and the needs of the business.
- Good attention to detail.
- Methodical and organised, taking ownership and accountability of objectives and tasks assigned/required.
