Principle Purpose:
We are seeking a Warehouse Despatch Operative to join our team based at Manor Vinegar. The role will involve providing the necessary forklift driving and associated skills as required for the storage, picking and despatch of food products.
Main Accountabilities:
- Ensure the correct pallets are picked against the sales order or Move order.
- Ensure the pallets are acceptable to be dispatched – liaise with the Operations Supervisor or Production & logistics planner of any anomalies.
- To ensure the accurate entry of all goods received or despatched.
- Use of Oracle and scanner equipment to record accurate transactions.
- Ensure the completion of all relevant documentation as required.
- Carryout forklift truck checks.
- Complete Weekly stock take counts for RVP warehouse.
- Relocate used pallets as and when required.
- Operate against HACCP.
- To maintain an excellent standard of hygiene and housekeeping within their work area by working to good manufacturing practices.
- Assisting and covering yard duties for despatch (adhoc, holidays and absence)
- Clean as you go for warehouses and RVP area
- Receipt of returnable IBC’s complete documentation.
Key Characteristics:
- · FLT Licence
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a warehouse environment – essential
- A methodical and thorough approach to work
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
- Good communication skills
- Team player
- The ability to work unsupervised as well as part of a team
- The ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- A hands-on approach and good attention to detail
- Ability to identify and escalate any problems
- The ability to work under pressure

- Computer literate
