Principle Purpose:

Ensuring the delivery & recording of operational and mandatory training across Europe with specific responsibility for the Fochabers Operational training model and maintenance of Kallidus. Setting, agreeing & coordinating skill and compliance standards with Management / Technical / HSE functions.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Compliance/Standards/Best Practice: Benchmark training activities, ensuring the business is up to date & credible. Ensure compliance standards are set and maintained.
  • Induction: Ensure Employee Induction program is maintained, implemented and continually updated. Produce and maintain training materials for in-house courses as appropriate.
  • Fochabers: Manage the shopfloor training & log-book process, conduct Fochabers TNA and gap analysis.
  • Records: Maintain training files & records via LMS (Kallidus) to ensure easily accessible for all managers. Monitoring and maintaining Kallidus Learn and Perform sections
  • Reporting: Analyse training and PDR data, gain insights and create meaningful actions.
  • Course bookings: Co-ordinate and manage the logistics of programs and workshops
  • Budget Management: Create and track against the allocated budget, finding solutions to implement the required training plan.
  • Talent Review: In partnership with the Group HRBP, support the talent management process
  • Apprenticeships: Co-ordinate and manage the apprenticeship program
  • Training Suppliers: Build relationships with third party training providers and where required, conduct reviews of existing training programs and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Leading and Supervising: To provide clear direction and leadership to the Trainer, setting appropriate standard

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience in a training, coaching or management role within the food industry
  • Must work at pace and agility
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Has a flexible, can-do attitude and is able to work on their own initiative to meet deadlines.
  • Can build effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholder
  • Has good analytical skills, understands and is able to analyse performance data.
  • Can manage and track against a budget, has good project management skills and is able to present to a range of stakeholders.
  • Plans ahead and works in a systematic and organised way
  • Can focus on customer satisfaction and delivers a quality service to a high standard
  • Can adapt and responds well to change
  • Will listen and consult others and communicates proactively
  • Must be proficient and competent user of IT software including Powerpoint, excel and Word
